History

Mobile Health (mHealth) is a term used for the practice of medicine and public health that is supported by mobile devices. The use of a mHealth app allows for greater accessibility of support between service providers and the community. The Can’t Even Quit app was designed by current and ex-smokers from the Aboriginal community, to enable a deep contextual understanding of user experiences, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour related to both smoking habits and use of mobile technology. This helps to identify triggers for behaviour change, past experiences with quitting and also cessation maintenance. The use of a mobile application allows for an accessible and simple way to support Aboriginal people with their goal to stop smoking.
